Laura Frank

A relatively new face on the Australian country music scene, Laura Frank is known for her energetic live shows, powerhouse vocals and contagious stage presence.

Forging a path through a global pandemic, Frank has released three singles in three years. Her debut single “Things I’d Rather Do”, a quirky take on procrastination & the intricacies of being an introvert, reached #8 on the Australian Country Radio music charts.  Her follow up single “Leave It All Behind” out performed her previous release, reaching #5 on the ACR music charts & gained rotation on ABC Radio.  Latest single, “Pretty” debuted at #1 on the Australian iTunes Country Music Video Chart & #5 on the All Genres chart.  Outside of the chart success, ‘Pretty’ has secured rotation on National Commercial Radio, Triple M Country as well as support from local station Murri Country 98.9fm.

With a live music show in demand throughout regional Queensland, Frank recently joined forces with Jade Holland and Tyla Rodrigues of the KIIS 97.3FM “Band that Brisbane Built” for the Pink Vines tour across South East Queensland for the first four months of 2022.

New single “Simple Girl” is set for international release on the 13 May 2022 through The Manick Label distributed through In Grooves/Universal Music. “Simple Girl’s” landmark video is sponsored by Taubman Paints, who subsequently renamed the Coloursmith colours, “Frank” style.  To support the launch her new song, Frank will be taking her show across Australia for the remainder of 2022.

Praised by Undercover Artist Festival Director & disability in the arts advocate, Madeleine Little, for standing up for individuals rights & breaking down expectations, Ms. Little noted, “Laura Frank’s powerful, authentic storytelling through song writing, champions standing up for oneself & dismantling the expectations of others.  Her work is exceptionally heartfelt, empowering, real & so relatable that listening feels like catching up with a close friend.  An incredible songwriter & vocalist, Laura is a true asset to Australia’s country music scene.”

With “Simple Girl” the first of her three 2022 track drops, Frank expects to release her much anticipated album in Autumn 2023 with the release of “The Road” and “Hey Cowboy” scheduled for release August and November 2022.

Frank’s long-term producer, ARIA & Golden Guitar winner, Jordan Power, is on board to produce the next crop of singles and album. Her studio team includes drummer Grant Greathy (formerly a member of John Butler Trio, currently working with Pete Murray and Bobby Alu) and Bass/Keyboards Ian Peres (formerly a member of Wolfmother worked with The Whitlam’s, Amy Shark and Russell Morris).

A long term member of indelabilityARTS, a Brisbane based theatre company providing employment for people with disability, Frank has a clear vision for her music and business with a planned regional Queensland and New South Wales tour on the books to showcase the work of regional artists in her upcoming THE HIGH HORSE tour.

As a strong, independent female, Frank now trademark call to arms for unapologetic authenticity is connecting to her fans in their need for a voice. Creating music that doesn’t confine itself to the industry norm both sonically and in its content is Frank’s calling card.
